Kathmandu International Study Centre (KISC) is a culturally diverse
international school established in 1987 mainly for the education of
expatriate mission families. KISC is moving from being a joint programme of
UMN and INF to being a self-governing project of HDCS in early 2005.
KISC is the only international school in Nepal with both
Middle State
Association (MSA, American) and Cambridge International Examinations (The
United Kingdom) accreditation. This high standard of education we now want
to pass on to others through our
Education Quality
Improvement Programmes (EQUIP) for KISC
teachers and Nepali schools.
We aim to provide a challenging yet supportive learning environment in which
an excellent holistic education is encouraged. We do this by operating
according to our Christian values and teaching biblical truths in such a way
that lives are transformed. As people embrace biblical truth about every
aspect of life, i.e. taking it into one’s life and being changed by it, they
will ‘positively impact their worlds’.
