welcome

KISC is a K-13 international school in Nepal with both Middle States Association (MSA, American) and Cambridge International Examinations (British) accreditations. Established by United Mission to Nepal (UMN) and International Nepal Fellowship (INF) in 1987, KISC has become a reputed international Christian school in Nepal. In 2007, the Nepali NGO, Human Development and Community Services (HDCS), was awarded the ownership of KISC by the Government of Nepal’s Ministry of Education.

a message from the KISC LEADERSHIP TEAM

“To be living witnesses of Christ’s love through excellent education”

One of the core values of KISC is community, and this is one of the greatest strengths of KISC – the strength of the community. Since I arrived at KISC in 2008 it has been such a privilege to be a part of this amazing community.

For over 30 years KISC has been a strong community in the midst of Kathmandu. We have supported many families providing international standard, excellent education, allowing them to work, live and serve here in Nepal. KISC has developed from just a dozen students in a tutorial group to over 200 students with both a primary (link) and secondary school (link). Our teaching training program, EQUIP (link) currently works with around 17 schools in rural areas of Nepal, working with school communities to develop quality education in these school communities.

As an education community, our focus is on knowledge and learning, but also developing spiritual understanding, growing relationships and building character. We do this by focusing on our core values of Love, Grace, Community, Justice and Excellence. Our community profile (link) outlines what we desire to see in our students and community members as they are part of our community.

Every community needs a home, and we are in the process of developing our own long term home for the school (link). After 6 homes in our 30 years, the hope is that this development will be home for the next 30. As we prepare for the move in early 2018, we pray for the continued financial resources to complete the project. If you are interested in donating, please do follow this link (link to donate) to find more.

Thanks for your interest in KISC. It has been my joy to be a part of this community for nearly 10 years. How will you be a part of our community?
