  • Students transition well back into their own countries' education systems. They develop character traits that help them succeed and students find the academic studies provide a good foundation for further study at another school or university/college.

  • We recognise that some students may need a scholarship to attend KISC. For information please contact the Admissions Coordinator.

  • Anyone who is interested in an excellent, international education. Although KISC was founded primarily for the mission community (and they remain our core focus), we also welcome many other expatriate and Nepali children.

  • Students do not have to be a Christian to be enrolled at KISC, but they are expected to fully participate in all of KISC’s educational programs, including Biblical studies, assemblies, and prayer devotions. Parents should encourage and support their child in the general Christian culture, mission, vision and values of KISC and KISC policies.

  • Yes. The cost is $100 (USD) and is due with the online application.

  • No. KISC strongly prefers to admit students in Term 1 (August) which is the beginning of the academic year, but KISC also accepts admissions during the year. Applications open in January for the next academic year. Applications are encouraged to be in by 1 May to help with the administration process.

  • Yes, you can visit the school and get a tour by our Admissions Coordinator, by appointment only. Please email admissions@kisc.edu.np to arrange a tour.

  • Yes – if they pass the Language Assessment System test and meet the needed level for their entry grade.

    All ELL students or students whose first language is not English, will be assessed on their English language abilities. There is a minimum level of English required to access the learning environment at KISC and students who do not meet this are presently not able to enroll at the school. For those who are admitted, KISC has an ELL programme to enhance the skills of students and enable them to become proficient.

  • KISC offers transportation for those students who do not live close to the school. The availability is based on the space on the buses. This is an extra fee.

  • Students with significant learning needs will be assessed on a case by case basis and may not be admitted. This is due to having limited facilities and/or staff for students with significant learning needs.

  • Classes are normally capped at 20 students.

  • No, KISC students do not have a uniform, but they do need to follow the KISC dress code.

  • KISC academic year starts in early August and ends in late June.

  • The majority of KISC graduates go on to undergraduate studies around the world. Some of the countries our students attend university/college are: United States of America, United Kingdom, Korea, Australia, Bangladesh, Switzerland and many more.
