One of the highlights of the year is the KISC Activity Week, which happens in the first semester.
While academic learning happens in the classroom, it’s a well known fact that significant personal growth is often achieved through healthy relationships, team building and serving others.
Our Activity Week provides a variety of opportunities for Primary and Secondary students to develop skills such as team problem solving, leading activities or maximising people’s creative abilities, as well as the confidence to deal with things that students may not have encountered before.
Primary Activity Week (PAW)
Every year, there is different theme for PAW. This year, the theme was ‘Set Sail’ where the main hall was set up with lots of different stations enabling students to explore various biblical truths through a number of activities and games. Creative assemblies help the students to reflect on what they’ve learnt each day, while Activity Week journals are taken home, allowing the children to continue recording their own thoughts and feelings.
Secondary Activity Week
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to bless and serve communities in different ways throughout Nepal, be it teaching primary classes, building shelters, helping in hospitals or painting murals on school walls. Of course, there is loads of fun too, such as going to a national park, or participating in white water rafting, paddle boarding, kayaking and bungee jumping! What’s not to like?
Whether Primary or Secondary, the week provides the opportunity for students to spend quality time together, deepening friendships and forming new ones.
