On Saturday, 19 November, KISC were crowned champions in the senior and junior boys categories of the Oasis Cup, an inter-school three-by-three basketball tournament.
KISC defeated Radiant Public 17-10 in the senior boys final, with Brooks Jensen scoring 8 points. In the junior boys final, KISC defeated Gyanodaya 8-6, Jay Maharjan scoring 7 points. Both Brooks and Jay were named ‘Most Valuable Player’ in their respective categories.
The winners were presented with their trophies by Oasis founder Januka Limbu, executive director Minkumar Limbu, and principal Neelam Bhattarai, as well as Binod Maharjan, a national men’s basketball team player and Oasis coach.
