Remembrance Day

On Tuesday, 11 November, the KISC community gathered to remember all those who sacrificed their lives in World War 1 to bring about peace. Always a profound occasion, our Remembrance Assembly was a powerful time of honouring those who served and defended the freedom of millions, for the sake of their own lives. Each element of the service struck a chord - the procession and laying of wreaths done by different grades, and the reading of testimonies who received the Victoria Cross Medal (the highest honour for bravery), two of whom were Gurkhas. The traditional trumpet sound of "Taps" and "The Last Post" followed by a minute's silence enabled people to reflect on past losses and pray for peace in ongoing conflicts across the world.

It was lovely to welcome Ms Anjaly Tamang, Chief of Staff, from the British Embassy to join us for our Remembrance Service. We very much appreciated her support and the kind words she shared.
